Orville Peck announces Mule album and two preview tracks

Orville Peck has announced his fourth studio album, Mule, due for release on 18 September through Warner Records, alongside two preview tracks. The masked country singer describes the 13-track record as his most personal yet, charting addiction, sobriety and rebuilding while exploring love, loss and identity through country, bluegrass and Americana.
The previews are the 48-second a cappella “Prologue (Eulogy of a Man Turned Mule)”, featuring Emmylou Harris, Noah Cyrus and Allison Russell, and the pop-country break-up song “Too Little, Too Late”. Peck will begin his North American Man Turned Mule tour on 28 October, donate $1 from each ticket to LGBTQ+ charity The Trevor Project, and follow his 2025 Appaloosa EP and Broadway run in Cabaret.

Orville Peck is a Canadian country singer known for performing in a fringed mask and for blending traditional country sounds with pop, rock and Americana influences. He has become one of the most visible openly gay artists in a genre that has often had limited LGBTQ+ representation.
