Orville Peck has announced his fourth studio album, Mule, due for release on 18 September through Warner Records, alongside two preview tracks. The masked, openly gay country singer describes the 13-track record as his most personal work yet, addressing addiction, sobriety, love, loss and identity through country, bluegrass and Americana.

The releases are the 48-second a cappella hymn ‘Prologue (Eulogy of a Man Turned Mule)’, featuring Emmylou Harris, Noah Cyrus and Allison Russell, and the upbeat break-up song ‘Too Little, Too Late’. Peck will also tour North America from 28 October to 22 November, donating $1 from each ticket to LGBTQ+ youth charity The Trevor Project; the album follows his Appaloosa EP and a 16-week Broadway run in Cabaret.
