Kneecap are set to release their 2018 mixtape 3CAG on vinyl for the first time next month, marking the Irish-language rap trio's earliest recorded work in a new physical format. The mixtape, made before the group signed to Heavenly Recordings, includes fan favourites such as "C.E.A.R.T.A." and "Your Sniffer Dogs Are Shite" and has become a cult favourite among the band's growing live following.

The West Belfast and Derry trio – Naoise Ó Caireallláin (Móglaí Bap), Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh (Mo Chara) and JJ Ó Dochartaigh (DJ Próvaí) – recorded the tape in an attic on Hawthorn Street in 2018, describing it as "rudimentary as fuck but still bangers." The band say the release comes after persistent pressure from their label boss, Jeff Barrett of Heavenly Recordings, who had been "hounding" them to press it to vinyl until they eventually agreed.
