Pakistan secured their first Test victory on foreign soil in three years, beating West Indies by eight wickets in Port-of-Spain to draw the two-match series 1-1. Chasing a modest target of 75 on the fourth day, openers Abdullah Shafique and captain Babar Azam both hit unbeaten 24s to complete the win inside 24 overs, ending a run of eight consecutive away defeats stretching back to a win over Sri Lanka in July 2023.

West Indies, who had won the first Test in Tarouba, collapsed to 117 all out in their second innings, with spinners Ali Usman and Sajid Khan each taking four wickets. That left Pakistan needing just 75 to win after posting 387 in their first innings, built around Shafique's unbeaten 160 and 88 from Babar, in reply to West Indies' 344. Pakistan now travel to England for a three-Test series starting at Headingley on 19 August.
