Patchdle is a browser-based Wordle-like game that challenges players to identify video games from snippets of their patch notes. Created by Håkon Medhus Fornes and released on 9 June, it turns normally dry development updates into a difficult test of gaming knowledge, while drawing attention to the humour and oddity often found in patch notes.

Players have six guesses, with additional patch-note clues revealed after each incorrect attempt; however, the hints can remain highly technical or obscure. The game offers limited guidance by indicating whether a guess comes from the correct franchise or the same developer, and its archive contains more than 60 puzzles. Examples include fixes involving character jumpscare volume, VHS tapes and unusually phrased changes such as dead bodies floating in water.
