Peacock is raising prices by up to $3

The Verge · 3 hours ago

Peacock is increasing prices across all its subscription tiers, marking the latest in a series of hikes for NBCUniversal's streaming service. The rise means US subscribers will pay more for ad-supported and ad-free plans alike, continuing a pattern of steady annual increases as the company seeks to boost revenue ahead of its planned split from Comcast.

The ad-supported Select plan rises from $7.99 to $8.99 a month, the ad-supported Premium plan increases from $10.99 to $12.99, and the ad-free Premium Plus tier sees the steepest jump, from $16.99 to $19.99. The changes took effect on 18 August for new and returning subscribers, with existing customers seeing the increase on their next billing date on or after 17 September; Peacock says the hikes fund improvements such as new features and content, and come after the service reported its first-ever profit with 48 million subscribers.
