Explained simply
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a fantasy series based on Rick Riordan’s books, in which Percy discovers he is the son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. He and his friends encounter gods and monsters while trying to protect the world of the Olympians, whose home is Mount Olympus.
Percy’s friends include Annabeth, daughter of Athena, and Grover, a satyr who helps guide and protect him. Their quests bring them into contact with other young demigods, including children of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, whose choices are tied to a prophecy about Olympus’ future.
The Titan’s Curse is the third book in Riordan’s series and introduces figures such as Artemis, goddess of the hunt, and the siblings Nico and Bianca di Angelo. Its story develops the relationships among the young heroes alongside the wider conflict between the Olympian gods and their enemies.
