Planet Coaster and Jurassic World developer Frontier partners with Disney for a new video game

Eurogamer · 4 hours ago

Frontier Developments, the studio behind Planet Coaster and the Jurassic World management games, has announced a new partnership with Disney to create an original video game built on Disney's intellectual property. The move extends Frontier's focus on the "Creative Management Simulation" genre it has built its reputation on, and signals confidence in that strategy at a time when the studio has several other projects in the pipeline.

No title, release window or specific Disney IP has been confirmed, though Frontier has said the project will be fully self-funded and will draw on its experience in management sims. The announcement lands a week ahead of Frontier's quarterly earnings and follows the well-received launch of Jurassic World Evolution 3, alongside the upcoming Planet Zoo 2 (due this October with new flying and aquatic creatures) and a separate unannounced management title also in development.
