Pokemon Announces Newest Collab, and It’s With…Fender Guitars?!
Developed over time first seen 4 days ago
Pokémon Center and Fender have announced two electric guitars to mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary: a Red Version Stratocaster and a Green Version Telecaster. Made in Japan, they draw on the original games’ pixel art and include custom pickups, commemorative neck plates and an 8-bit sound system. Pressing the volume knob adds game-inspired electronic sounds to the guitar’s output.
Pokémon says the guitars are due for release in 2027, with preorders to follow. In Japan, buyers can apply through a Pokémon Center Online lottery from 19 to 24 November 2026; Fender lists each guitar at ¥396,000 including tax and says Japanese orders can be shipped only within Japan. Availability elsewhere should be checked through regional official sites.

How this story developed
- 4 hours ago Pokémon Center and Fender have announced two electric guitars to mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary: a Red Version Stratocaster and a Green Version Telecaster.
Explained simply
Pokémon began as a series of video games in which players catch and train creatures, and it has since expanded into television, films and merchandise. Fender is a guitar maker best known for instruments such as the Stratocaster and Telecaster, which are used by musicians across many styles.
The collaboration connects Pokémon’s early video-game designs with Fender’s electric guitars. Its anniversary theme refers to the original games, whose Red and Green versions introduced the series in Japan. Custom details and game-inspired sounds give the instruments a link to that history.
