The concept would combine multiple Pokémon regions into a digital recreation of Japan, allowing players to explore together and potentially take the series into a genre it has never officially attempted.

Leaked documents describe location-, weather-, season- and time-based Pokémon encounters, varied biomes and stronger social features. Recent claims link Project Seed to possible future “Seed Pokémon”, whose evolutions could depend on how they are raised and their environment, although these ideas remain unconfirmed. The project may have changed, become a platform for other games, or been cancelled, while Game Freak’s history of online connectivity raises further doubts.
