TikTok and YouTube stars Hannah and Shane Burcaw, known as Squirmy and Grubs, have announced they are expecting their first child, due in January, after previously going through an unsuccessful IVF journey. The Minnesota-based couple, who married in 2020, shared the news on Instagram alongside images from a baby scan, saying they wanted to celebrate the milestone while acknowledging the pain such announcements can cause for others struggling to conceive. The pair have built a large following by openly documenting their lives, including Shane's experience of living with spinal muscular atrophy, a progressive neuromuscular condition.

Hannah, who is 20 weeks pregnant, said the pregnancy had so far been "super easy" with no vomiting or major nausea, though she has experienced food aversions and pelvic pain linked to hypermobility. Shane, who has used an electric wheelchair since age two, spoke candidly about anxieties over parenting with his disability and anticipated backlash from critics questioning his ability to be a father. The couple also announced plans for a new baby blog to document their journey into parenthood and said they are using the announcement to help fulfil registries for other expectant parents.
