Potential ‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ Sequel Officially Confirmed
Developing story first seen 3 hours ago
Takashi Yamazaki says the possibility of making a third Godzilla film is “about fifty-fifty”, confirming he has not ruled out returning to the series. He would be sad if *Godzilla Minus Zero* were his last film in the franchise, but has other projects planned and wants to leave the sequel’s ending open to interpretation.
*Godzilla Minus Zero* is set in 1949, two years after *Minus One*, and follows the Shikishima family as they face King Ghidorah. Yamazaki says a future story could explore the human cost of the earlier attacks rather than simply introduce a larger monster. His next project is *Grandgear*, an English-language mecha film produced by J.J. Abrams; *Minus Zero* opens in North American cinemas on 6 November.
