PRIMAL FEAR To Release ‘Shadow Riders’ Album In April 2027
German power metal band Primal Fear will release their new album, "Shadow Riders", in April 2027, bassist and producer Mat Sinner has revealed. The announcement came during an interview with KNAC.COM in which Sinner discussed the strong sales performance of the band's previous record, "Domination", and confirmed work is already well underway on its follow-up.
Sinner said "Domination", released last September via Reigning Phoenix Music, sold more copies than its predecessor despite wider industry declines in physical formats, crediting a fanbase that prioritises full-album listening over streaming. He confirmed "Shadow Riders" will be preceded by two singles and accompanying videos, with the campaign potentially starting as early as January 2027. The title track was also confirmed as one of the songs on the new record. Primal Fear, founded nearly three decades ago by Sinner and vocalist Ralf Scheepers, currently also features guitarists Magnus Karlsson and Thalìa Bellazecca and drummer André Hilgers.
