Prince Harry completed a charity skydive near Toronto to honour a promise to 102-year-old Second World War veteran Ed Marshall, who had skydived for his own 100th birthday. The jump aimed to raise awareness and funds for Canadian military charities Sunnybrook and the True Patriot Love Foundation, while supporting Harry’s wider work with military veterans ahead of the Invictus Games in Birmingham.

Harry said Marshall was unable to jump after a medical assessment but travelled in the aircraft wearing a parachute, and Harry called Meghan immediately after landing because she had been worried. He also said their children were settled in school following the family’s return to Britain on 26 August, but declined to explain fully why they relocated from California, citing “lots of reasons”; the move has fuelled speculation about their relationship with the Royal Family, security arrangements and their public roles.
