Prince William unveiled the finalists for his annual Earthshot Prize environmental award on Friday, whilst his brother Prince Harry made his first public appearance since returning to the UK at an Invictus event. Both brothers made public appearances amid ongoing controversy surrounding their uncle Earl Spencer's new memoir about Princess Diana, which contains incendiary allegations about King Charles, including claims he expressed relief after Diana's death.

The Earthshot Prize recognises global environmental solutions, with 15 finalists this year competing for £1 million in prize money across five categories: Revive our Oceans, Fix our Climate, Build a Waste-Free World, Protect and Restore Nature, and Clean our Air. The awards ceremony will take place in Mumbai on 17 November, hosted by Bollywood star Karan Johar, with William expected to attend. Prince Harry declined to comment on the Spencer memoir but acknowledged his first two weeks back in the UK have been "eventful".
