AS I LAY DYING Shares New Single ‘The Cost To Stay’ From Upcoming Self-Titled Album
Developed over time first seen 14 hours ago
AS I LAY DYING have released “The Cost To Stay”, a new single accompanied by a music video directed by Tom Flynn. The song previews the band’s first self-titled album, due on 5 February 2027, which the group describes as both a continuation of its sound and a fresh start.
Frontman Tim Lambesis says the song explores recognising when it is necessary to leave a damaging situation and accept the consequences of change. The 10-track album follows September singles “Polarized” and “Retribution”, which showed contrasting melodic and heavier sides of the record. The band says the new material brings together melody, aggression, speed and atmosphere; it has sold more than one million albums worldwide.
