At the 19th Academy of Country Music Honors, held at The Pinnacle in Nashville, singers Carly Pearce, Carter Faith and Kaitlin Butts delivered a joint cover of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5", trading verses individually before harmonising on the chorus. The performance formed part of a night dedicated largely to celebrating Parton's songwriting legacy, drawing strong applause from the audience.

The tribute coincided with Parton receiving the ACM Poet's Award, recognising her decades of influence as a songwriter behind hits such as "Jolene", "Coat of Many Colors" and "I Will Always Love You". Unable to attend in person, Parton accepted via video message, describing songwriting as her "therapy" and a "gift from God". Also honoured posthumously with the Poet's Award were Brett James and The Carter Family, while Kacey Musgraves received the ACM Spirit Award and Eric Church the ACM Lifting Lives Award; Ella Langley and Jessie Jo Dillon were named Artist-Songwriter and Songwriter of the Year respectively, at a ceremony hosted by Pearce and Parker McCollum.
