England's Adam Ramsay-Peaty has qualified for the men's 50m breaststroke final at the Commonwealth Games, setting up a chance to defend the title he already holds. Ramsay-Peaty clocked 26.82 seconds to finish second in his semi-final, behind South Africa's Michael Houlie, who led all qualifiers with 26.61 seconds. He will face Houlie again in the final at 20:07 BST, alongside Australia's Sam Williamson, who won 100m breaststroke gold, and Jersey's Filip Nowacki, the 100m silver medallist. Reflecting on his recent form, the three-time Olympic champion said he still had "a little bit more to grow" and pointed out he had not competed at a championships in two years. His England team-mate Max Morgan finished sixth in the same semi-final and was eliminated.
