Revealed: Weakest Link presenter Anne Robinson calls time on country life – and sells £4million seven-bedroom Cotswolds mansion to fund return to London

Daily Mail ·

Anne Robinson, the former Weakest Link and Countdown presenter, is selling her seven-bedroom Cotswolds mansion for £4.25million as she prepares to move back to London to be closer to her daughter, broadcaster Emma Wilson, and her two grandchildren. The 81-year-old joins a growing list of celebrities, including Stella McCartney, Elizabeth Hurley and Joe Wicks, who have recently quit the area, and she has spoken of not wanting to grow old far from family, particularly after giving up driving due to worsening eyesight.

The 18th-century Grade II-listed barn conversion, near Cirencester in the Coln Valley, sits on 4.5 acres and includes six bathrooms, a guest cottage and a tennis court; Robinson bought the first barn in 2006 for £1.2million and spent two years renovating it. She is reportedly buying a new home near Hyde Park and also keeps residences on New York's Fifth Avenue and in the Hamptons; among the property's quirks is a guest wing said to have been dubbed the "I Hate My Husband Suite" after her 2007 divorce from John Penrose.
