Ridley Scott’s 118-Minute Sci-Fi Thriller Officially Crowned #1 Movie on Prime Video
Ridley Scott’s science-fiction thriller *The Dog Stars* has become the number one film on Prime Video, giving the movie a second chance to find viewers after a weak cinema run. The streaming success follows several costly box-office disappointments for Scott, including *Napoleon* and *Gladiator II*.
Starring Josh Brolin and Jacob Elordi, *The Dog Stars* was Scott’s first science-fiction film since *Alien: Covenant* in 2017. It received mediocre reviews and earned just under $40 million worldwide in cinemas; the article says it is now available to watch on demand through Prime Video.
In short
- *The Dog Stars* tops Prime Video’s film chart.
- The film made just under $40 million in cinemas.
- Streaming is giving Ridley Scott’s thriller a second run.
