‘Riverdale’ Star Officially Confirms ‘X-Men’ Audition Status
KJ Apa has confirmed that he auditioned for Marvel’s upcoming X-Men reboot but did not get the role. His comment, made during an interview about his film Jimmy, adds a named actor to the growing picture of auditions for the new cast.
Apa did not say which character he tried out for, so suggestions that he could have auditioned to play Gambit remain speculation. The film is scheduled for 5 May 2028, with Jake Schreier directing; announced cast members include Adam Driver, Christopher Abbott, Samara Weaving and Sadie Sink, alongside newer additions Ben Wang and Asa Germann.
