An eight-episode Robocop reboot series is heading to Prime Video, with Conjuring creator James Wan attached as executive producer alongside showrunner Peter Ocko. The project, in development since Amazon's 2022 acquisition of MGM, marks a significant revival of the 1987 sci-fi classic and brings horror heavyweight Wan into the franchise for the first time, with production handled by Blumhouse Atomic Monster.

Ocko, known for Moonhaven and Lodge 49, joined as writer and co-executive producer in 2024, while original Robocop co-writer Ed Neumeier is also on board as an executive producer, lending the project continuity with the source material. The show's logline closely mirrors the original film's premise of a corporation installing a robotic officer implanted with a fallen policeman's consciousness, with both Wan and Amazon MGM Studios executives framing it as a timely exploration of technology and corporate power. No release date has yet been confirmed.
