Rosie O’Donnell rants that Trump-era ICE facilities are concentration camps where inmates are raped

Fox News · 4 hours ago

Actress and talk-show host Rosie O'Donnell used a TikTok video posted on Friday to compare US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities under the Trump administration to Nazi-era concentration camps, alleging that detainees, including children, are being raped and impregnated in custody. The remarks, made during a wide-ranging "Friday Ramble" video that also touched on the death of Dolly Parton, drew a sharp rebuke from the White House, which called the comparison "gross" and linked such rhetoric to a sharp rise in reported assaults and death threats against law enforcement officers.

O'Donnell, a longtime and vocal critic of Donald Trump, claimed people were being "rounded up without a warrant" and held in segregated male and female detention, questioning what happens to women and any resulting children. She went on to accuse Trump of governing only for "powerful White men" and praised Dolly Parton as the kind of compassionate leader America needs. White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis countered by citing a list of ICE arrests of undocumented immigrants accused of violent crimes, including strangulation and child molestation, and said comparisons of ICE to Nazi forces had contributed to a reported 1,300% rise in assaults and 8,000% rise in death threats against officers. It is not the first time O'Donnell has made such comparisons; she made similar claims in July, calling ICE Trump's "personal Gestapo."
