Samsung One UI 9.5 beta may be coming soon: Here’s how to sign up for the program
A One UI 9.5 beta build for the Galaxy S26 Ultra has appeared on Samsung’s Korean and US update servers, suggesting registrations may open soon. Samsung has not confirmed a launch date, but the firmware’s presence is a stronger sign of an impending beta than estimates based on the previous release.
Registration is expected through the Samsung Members app, followed by downloading the software under Settings once it becomes available. The spotted build is for the S26 Ultra, and access is expected to depend on having an eligible phone, living in one of six supported countries, and possibly owning an unlocked device. Samsung’s previous beta covered Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK and the US; testers are advised to back up their data first.
In short
- One UI 9.5 beta firmware has appeared on Samsung servers.
- Samsung has not announced when registrations will open.
- Eligible users are expected to sign up through Samsung Members.
Explained simply
One UI is Samsung’s software for Galaxy phones, built on Android. Samsung releases numbered updates that can change the look and features of the phone, and beta versions let some users try an update before its general release.
Samsung runs these trials through its Samsung Members app, with access limited by phone model and country. Previous beta programmes included the UK, US, Germany, India, Poland and South Korea; some have also been limited to unlocked phones.
A beta is unfinished software, so features may change and problems can occur. People who take part are generally advised to back up their data before installing it.
