Samsung’s 5K gaming monitor drops to $600 at major retailers
Samsung’s 27-inch Odyssey G80HF 5K monitor is on sale for $599.99 at Amazon and B&H Photo, $100 below its previous best price. Its combination of high resolution, fast refresh rates and a one-millisecond response time makes it a gaming-focused option at a relatively low price for a 5K display.
The Fast IPS monitor can run at 5K and 180Hz or 1440p and 360Hz, with Nvidia G-Sync compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium. It has one DisplayPort 2.1 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB hub, but lacks the USB-C video input and 90W charging offered by LG’s $799.99 alternative. The article also highlights discounts on a GTA VI preorder bundle, Demon’s Souls Deluxe Edition and a Ugreen multi-port charger.
