Scotland’s Gunn concedes four in San Jose debut defeat

Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn conceded four goals on his San Jose Earthquakes debut as Orlando City won 4-0 following Major League Soccer’s World Cup break. Although the result was a difficult start for Gunn after leaving Nottingham Forest, he was not considered at fault for the goals and made saves that limited the defeat.

David Brekalo opened the scoring after seven minutes, Ivan Angulo added a second, and Antoine Griezmann scored on his Orlando debut before Braian Ojeda completed the rout. San Jose remain level on points at the top of the Western Conference but are second on goal difference behind Vancouver Whitecaps, and face LA Galaxy on Sunday.
