The Rare Beauty founder said she was celebrating alongside six years of her Rare Impact Fund, describing herself as the "happiest girlie in the world" and expressing gratitude for the community's backing of youth mental health causes.

The Rare Impact Fund, launched by Gomez in 2020, aims to raise $100 million to support youth mental health programmes, and she urged fans to visit the fund's website to donate. Alongside the birthday message, Gomez had recently shared photos with husband Benny Blanco, whom she married in September, and behind-the-scenes moments from filming Only Murders in the Building in London with co-stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Meryl Streep and Olivia Colman. Her most recent album, a joint project with Blanco titled I Said I Love You First, reached number two on the Billboard 200 last April.
