Her lawyer said she would seek dismissal of the federal lawsuit, which also names her mother and fellow co-founder Mandy Teefey; the case matters because it challenges the company’s fundraising, promised partnerships and management.

Investors allege that Gomez and Teefey raised about $1.2 million while misrepresenting Wondermind’s prospects and leadership. They claim Gomez did not fulfil an agreement to act as head of marketing, while proposed arrangements with Fidelity and J.P. Morgan, an app, celebrity profiles and advertising deals did not materialise. The investors say they learned of the company’s financial and operational problems through a 2025 report; former chief executive Daniella Pierson also denies the allegations.
