An Israeli air strike on a house near Ansar in southern Lebanon killed seven people, including three children and two women, Lebanese authorities said. Israel said it targeted Hezbollah infrastructure after an earlier incident involving its soldiers near the Ali al-Taher Ridge. Further strikes in Deir al Zahrani reportedly killed two people and injured nine, while Israel continues to occupy about 5% of Lebanese territory under a 10km-deep security zone; talks between Lebanese and Israeli negotiators are expected to resume in September.
