SHARON OSBOURNE: ‘We’re Speaking To People’ About Playing 2027 OZZFEST; Official Announcement Coming ‘Soon’

Blabbermouth · 3 hours ago

Sharon Osbourne has reaffirmed plans to revive Ozzfest in 2027, telling Metal Hammer magazine that the festival will return to Villa Park, home ground of Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham, the venue where Ozzy Osbourne played his final performance at the "Back To The Beginning" show in July 2025. The move would mark the metal festival's return after a long hiatus, continuing the legacy Ozzy and Sharon built over three decades, with Sharon saying discussions are already underway with prospective performers, though she declined to name names.

Sharon said it remains undecided whether the Birmingham leg will run for one or two nights, adding that a full announcement is expected "soon". She confirmed the 2027 edition would also include dates in North America, with Ozzfest expanding into a travelling festival again from 2028 if demand allows. Sharon said she wants to spotlight new talent, as Ozzy would have wished, and hinted Judas Priest's Rob Halford could feature. Ozzfest, launched 30 years ago, last ran in 2018 and had not toured extensively in the US since 2007, with 2017's edition drawing over 17,000 fans.
