Jenny Shin won the Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald, holding off fellow South Korean A-Lim Kim despite a shaky final round. It is Shin's first LPGA Tour title in more than a decade and only her second in 368 career starts, making it a significant personal breakthrough ahead of next week's Women's Open, the year's final major.

Shin finished on nine under par after carding a three-over 75 in the last round, having led by five shots after two rounds, while Kim shot a strong 68 to finish two shots back. Thailand's Pajaree Anannarukarn took third, four shots off the lead, and only 10 players broke par overall, with England's Charley Hull finishing 10 over. World number one Nelly Korda shot a closing 69 to share 16th as she turns her attention to the Women's Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes, which begins on Thursday.
