“Sia: Nostalgic for the Present” is a limited-run concert-performance film built from projections created for Sia’s 2016 tour. The 75-minute film consists largely of dance videos intended to accompany live performers on stage, with Sia positioned at stage left in a distinctive half-blonde, half-black wig and white dress. The same visual motif is worn by dancers, crew and guest actors including Kristen Wiig, Paul Dano, Ben Mendelsohn and Gaby Hoffmann, while songs such as “Titanium”, “Unstoppable” and “The Greatest” provide its anthemic core.
