Perrette has now disclosed the full leadership structure for Skydance’s television and direct-to-consumer businesses after the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger, and confirmed seven executives are leaving the combined company. He said the structure may be refined as merger implementation continues, while his role is designed to connect the two businesses and help guide decisions for Skydance as a whole.

The departing executives are Dan Barnes, Michael Bishara, Jamie Cooke and Juan Sola from Warner Bros. Discovery, and Domenic DiMeglio, Marco Nobili and Pank Patel from Paramount. Perrette’s wider team includes Jeff Cusson in communications, Shauna Spenley in marketing, Trey Turner in international operations, Josh Walker in DTC operations and Liz Wright as finance chief for Skydance TV; a head of Pluto and ad-supported video is still to be named. Ronald Goes will report to Warner Bros. TV Group chair Channing Dungey, taking Skydance’s international TV production into her oversight.

How this story developed

  • 9 minutes ago Perrette’s latest update names Jay Askanasi, Ray Hopkins, David Decker, James Gibbons and Fernando Medin among the leaders, while the head of Pluto and ad-supported video remains to be appointed.
  • 15 minutes ago JB Perrette outlined Skydance’s television and direct-to-consumer leadership after the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger, naming seven executives who are leaving and saying the structure could change as integration proceeds.

Explained simply

Skydance is a media company whose businesses include television and streaming. Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery are large entertainment groups with their own television channels, studios and streaming services; combining them brings together teams and operations that have so far been run separately.

JB Perrette oversees television and direct-to-consumer services, which reach viewers through streaming and other subscriptions. The leadership team includes managers responsible for advertising, distribution, content sales and regional operations, while a leader for Pluto TV and other ad-supported streaming services is still to be appointed.

Mergers often involve decisions about which roles and systems to combine, so some executives leave while others take on leadership posts. The way the combined company is organised matters to staff, programme makers, advertisers and viewers, and further changes may follow as the integration continues.
