Skye Newman’s ‘Survival’ Is A Plea From The Heart

Skye Newman has released her new single, “Survival”, a soul-pop ballad about living with the effects of trauma while trying to move forward. The song’s personal subject matter and emotional vocal performance reinforce her reputation as a notable young vocalist.

Newman says the track captures feeling on edge and in “fight or flight”, while continuing to survive and do better for her younger self. Made with long-time collaborators Charlie Pitts, Boo and Luis Navidad, it arrives as she wraps up a successful year with a sold-out UK headline tour, including five nights at O2 Academy Brixton, and an appearance at an Amy Winehouse tribute.
