Slipknot have confirmed that they have parted ways with longtime keyboardist and turntablist Sid Wilson, ending nearly three decades of association. The band’s brief statement said the split was effective immediately and offered Wilson well wishes, but gave no reason, leaving the circumstances of his departure unclear.

Wilson, known as No. 0, joined Slipknot in 1998 before its mainstream breakthrough and becomes the latest member to leave in recent years, following Craig Jones in 2023 and drummer Jay Weinberg later that year. Reports of his exit emerged in late July, while Slipknot have continued touring around their debut album’s 25th anniversary after releasing their most recent album, ‘The End, So Far’, in 2022.
