Sony Pictures Television Hires Lauren Glaubach, Former YouTube and Pinterest Exec, to Lead Digital and Social Distribution Strategy

Sony Pictures Television has hired Lauren Glaubach as executive vice president of distribution, digital and social platforms, a newly created role. She will lead the company’s expansion across YouTube and other digital services, aiming to generate new opportunities from its film and television library and increase the value of its intellectual property.

Glaubach most recently led global content partnerships at Pinterest and previously spent more than a decade at YouTube in strategy, programming, partnerships and operations. At YouTube, she oversaw a portfolio of more than 500 channels, including traditional media and creator-led channels. Sony’s recent digital projects include a new edition of “Jeopardy!” on YouTube, the return of “Reading Rainbow” to the platform and plans for original content with physicist Brian Cox.
