Sony's *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* is on track for a blockbuster opening weekend at the global box office, with early projections suggesting it could surpass the takings of *Spider-Man: No Way Home*. The film, Tom Holland's fourth solo outing as the character and his first not directed by Jon Watts, has generated strong buzz ahead of release, easing any concerns that it might be overshadowed by Christopher Nolan's *The Odyssey*, which also stars Holland.
