A new Marvel comic, Mary Jane: Face It, Tiger #1, shifts the spotlight away from Peter Parker to focus entirely on Mary Jane Watson, one of Spider-Man's longest-running love interests. Although MJ has occasionally headlined her own storylines before, she has typically remained a supporting figure in Peter's narrative, so this anthology-style issue marks a notable change by letting several creative teams explore her as the central character.

The issue collects multiple short stories from different writers and artists. "Faces in the Crowd" by J.M. DeMatteis and Andrew Broccardo sees MJ grapple with the aftermath of the shapeshifting villain Chameleon impersonating Peter in their home. In "Vamp #9," by Ann Nocenti and Alina Yerofieieva, MJ plays a zombie/vampire on a film set and ends up having to be the hero herself, tying back to her acting career. Ashley Allen and Phil Noto close out the issue with "Redux," reuniting MJ with the character Haze, while another story reportedly revisits her very first appearance in Peter Parker's world.
