Spiritbox have released a new single called "Mourning," marking their first new material since their second studio album "Tsunami Sea" came out last year. The track is more subdued and melodic than the band's previous output, though it retains fiery guitar riffs, and its release comes amid a particularly busy period for the metalcore group across touring, gaming and awards circuits.

The single follows frontwoman Courtney LaPlante's collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon's Oli Sykes and producer Grabbitz on a Valorant anthem, "If The Sun Burns Out Tonight," due later this year for the Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals. "Tsunami Sea" earned a four-star NME review and a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, and the band are about to launch their biggest UK headline tour, running from Glasgow on 12 September to London's OVO Arena Wembley on 19 September, before supporting Metallica in Connecticut on 21 November.
