Spotify has signed a licensing deal with Believe and its digital distribution arm TuneCore for a planned AI remixing tool. The agreement adds to Spotify’s partnerships with Universal Music Group, Merlin and Kobalt as it seeks to offer fans licensed remixes and covers while creating revenue for artists and rights-holders.

The tool has no name or release date, and Spotify plans to offer it as a paid Premium add-on. Believe says artists can choose whether to participate in AI services, then separately decide whether Spotify may use their work. Spotify said it removed 50 million AI-generated spam tracks from recommendations this year; the deal follows Believe’s partnership with AI music platform Suno.
