Starfield Remains “Important” To Bethesda, New Content Coming In 2027

Bethesda has said that Starfield remains an important part of its future and confirmed that it will continue to support the space role-playing game. The announcement matters because it reassures players that the studio has not moved on from the title despite its broader work on Fallout and The Elder Scrolls.

The developer plans further stories, targeted gameplay improvements and updates during Starfield’s third year, followed by new Starborn content in 2027. Bethesda said more than 17 million people have played the game, collectively logging almost one billion hours; Starfield originally launched in 2023 and has since received the Shattered Space and Terran Armada expansions.
