Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi has announced "The Way We Were Vol. 2", a follow-up collection of previously unreleased demo recordings due out on 25 September 2026. It follows the well-received "Vol. 1" and continues to showcase Rossi's songwriting partnership with longtime collaborator Bob Young, offering fans a rare glimpse into his creative process before songs were finished into their familiar recorded versions.

The collection comprises 17 tracks, five of which have never been heard outside the studio, with the rest having later surfaced on Status Quo albums such as "Heavy Traffic" and "In Search Of The Fourth Chord", as well as Rossi solo and ROSSI/RICKARD releases. It will be available on CD, 2LP and digital formats, with lead track "My Little Heartbreaker" streaming from today. The announcement coincides with Rossi's upcoming UK solo tour beginning 22 September 2026, alongside his separate "Quo Song Book" tour running into 2027.
