Steve Hackett recalls messing with Genesis at their Rock Hall induction

Steve Hackett says he teased his former Genesis bandmates at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction by suggesting that Yes should be inducted too. The joke left the Genesis members nearby wondering whether he was speaking on their behalf.

The exchange took place while Genesis were around four feet away, Hackett recalled. His remark played on his connection to Yes as well as Genesis, though the article excerpt provides no further details about the induction or the bandmates’ response.
