Steve Harris is best known as the bassist and a founding member of Iron Maiden, the British heavy metal band formed in 1975. British Lion is his separate hard rock project, with Harris joined by singer Richard Taylor, guitarists David Hawkins and Grahame Leslie, and drummer Simon Dawson.
The Cart & Horses is a pub and music venue in east London associated with Iron Maiden’s early years. The band played there before becoming internationally known, which gives the venue a particular connection to their history. British Lion also played a five-night run there in 2025.
The special guests, Albion, include Jack Clark, a current Jethro Tull guitarist, and Joe Parrish-James, a former guitarist with the band. The shows bring together Harris’s newer project and musicians linked to a different generation of British rock.
