STEVEN WILSON Confirms Second STORM CORROSION Album Is In The Works: ‘It’s Almost Entirely Played On Acoustic Instruments’

Steven Wilson has confirmed he has started work on a second Storm Corrosion album, reuniting with Opeth’s Mikael Åkerfeldt. The project follows their 2012 debut and will continue its distinctive musical approach while taking it in a different direction.

Wilson described the new record as a large body of music played almost entirely on acoustic instruments, with many different instruments involved. He said it retains elements of the original album’s musical “vocabulary”, but did not disclose further details; he added that the pair still have a long way to go.
