Fresh voice cast additions revealed for Family Guy spin-off Stewie
Developed over time first seen 2 months ago
Fox, Hulu and 20th Television Animation have finalised the voice cast for "Stewie," the "Family Guy" spin-off centred on Seth MacFarlane's baby character, bringing in Kenan Thompson, Vanessa Bayer, Melissa O'Neil, Aaron Lee and Jessica Lowe alongside series regular Mike Henry. MacFarlane, who created the show with Kirker Butler and voices Stewie himself, will also voice a new classmate called Bean, while Henry doubles up as BJ, the son of his existing "Family Guy" character Bruce. The casting reveal confirms how closely the spin-off is tied to its parent show, with several performers taking on characters linked to the original series.
The series follows Stewie after he is expelled from his old preschool and forced to enrol in a lower-tier one alongside unfamiliar classmates, using his gadgets to turn mundane school days into elaborate adventures. Thompson voices Royal, a wary new friend; Bayer plays teacher Morgan; O'Neil, in her animation debut, voices love interest Wanda; Lowe voices rival classmate Caroline; and Lee voices Skunk, the hundred-year-old class turtle. "Stewie" received a two-season order from Fox in March, with MacFarlane executive producing through his Fuzzy Door banner and 20th Television Animation serving as studio; it is set to premiere during the 2027–28 season on Fox, streaming next-day on Hulu.

Fox, Hulu and 20th Television Animation are behind "Stewie," a spin-off of the long-running animated comedy "Family Guy." It centres on baby Stewie Griffin after he is kicked out of his old preschool and has to start over at a new one, using his inventions to liven up his new surroundings. The show was greenlit for two seasons by Fox in March, with Seth MacFarlane, the creator of "Family Guy," also serving as executive producer through his company Fuzzy Door and co-creating the spin-off with Kirker Butler.
The project is notable for blending new characters with figures pulled from the existing "Family Guy" world, as several cast members are voicing both original roles and new spin-off characters. MacFarlane himself continues to voice Stewie while also taking on a new role, and other performers are similarly doing double duty, reflecting how closely the new series is tied to its parent show.
"Stewie" is due to premiere in the 2027-28 television season, with episodes airing on Fox and becoming available to stream on Hulu the following day.
