Pro subscribers will fall from unlimited downloads to 20 per month, Premier subscribers from unlimited to 60 monthly, and free users to just 7 total downloads restricted to personal use only. The cap targets users who generate and export songs in bulk to streaming services for fraudulent royalty claims, a practice the platform characterises as requiring stronger guardrails.

To enforce the limits, Suno has updated its Terms of Service to prohibit circumvention methods such as stream-ripping and audio recording, with violations potentially resulting in account suspension and legal action. The company framed the changes as ensuring intentional music creation while announcing forthcoming AI models developed with music industry collaboration, which it claims will deliver superior audio quality and generation speed compared to current systems.
