Suno’s new MCP tool lets users make songs inside ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini – as its developer API gets a sign-in portal but remains in beta

Music Business Worldwide ·

Suno has launched a beta tool that lets people create music through AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. The tool could make Suno’s music generation easier to use within existing workflows, while its separate developer API is still being tested and is not yet broadly available.

With Suno MCP, users can develop lyrics and a musical style in conversation, generate a track from a voice recording or loop, and create covers, extensions or mashups of songs in their Suno library. Tracks are saved to that library and use the user’s plan credits; the tool works on all Suno plans, including the free tier, with early access by sign-up and no API key required. Suno has also opened a sign-in portal for its developer API, which is intended to let developers build music generation into their own apps. The company says it plans to begin with selected partners and is still assessing applications.

In short

  • Suno MCP brings song creation into several AI assistants.
  • Tracks use users’ Suno credits and are saved to their library.
  • The developer API remains in beta, with access planned for selected partners.
