Surrey secured a comfortable 95-run victory over Kent in the One-Day Cup at The Kia Oval, moving level on points with Group A leaders Leicestershire. Both sides knew a win would take them to the top of the table, and with the match reduced to 49 overs a side due to rain, Surrey's openers laid the foundation before their bowlers finished the job.

Surrey were bowled out for 286 after Ryan Patel (73) and Dom Sibley (53) put on a century opening stand, with late cameos from Rory Burns and Ollie Sykes helping push the total on despite tight bowling from Matt Milnes. Kent, chasing having successfully overhauled totals of 294 and 314 in their previous two games, slumped to 88-5 before a 86-run stand between Jaydn Denly (51) and Ekansh Singh (46) offered brief resistance. They were eventually dismissed for 191, with Tom Lawes taking four wickets, leaving Surrey level with Leicestershire but trailing them on net run rate with two group matches remaining.
