Syfy’s 5-Part Cult Thriller Is Officially Getting the Reboot It Deserves

Asylum has announced Z Nation: Resurrection, a sequel to the zombie series that ended in 2018. It is set to follow a new generation of survivors, giving fans a continuation of the franchise, though details remain limited.

Z Nation ran for five seasons and followed Murphy, whose altered state after a zombie bite made him central to efforts to stop a virus-driven apocalypse. The finale resolved the main conflict but left open what Murphy did with his knowledge of the cure; the new series could revisit that unresolved thread. The franchise also includes the prequel Black Summer.
