- Daniel Pemberton and Mina Samy received four nominations each.
Explained simply
The Hollywood Music in Media Awards honour music made for films, television and other visual media. They include categories for songs and original scores, with separate categories for areas such as animation and independent film.
The awards bring together performers, songwriters and composers whose work is written or chosen to accompany what appears on screen. Their nominations can draw attention to music from productions of different sizes and genres.
Awards for screen music can also be part of a longer path of recognition: some past winners have later received Oscars, the film industry’s major annual awards. A nomination does not guarantee further awards, but it can raise a song or score’s profile among audiences.
